60 Birds for 60 Years Event
WHEN: October 19-20, 2024
LAS is celebrating 60 years since its founding! Please join us on a birding adventure with the goal of spotting 60 species of birds. Participants will sign up for a series of walks that will be offered on October 19 and 20. There will be several options during 3 different time slots, so you can choose your own adventure! On the evening of October 20, 2024 (location TBD), we will meet and share what we have seen. For each species you see, you will earn one raffle ticket for an LAS t-shirt! Drinks, desserts, and good company will be provided.

T-Shirt Design Contest LAS is celebrating our 60th anniversary this year and we are holding a t-shirt design contest! Please send designs to [email protected]. Contest rules: 1. You must submit an original design without copyrighted material 2. The design must be for the front of the shirt only 3. Must include native Nevada bird(s) and "Lahontan Audubon Society" 4. Preferred file types: .AI, .EPS (vector files); Other accepted file types: .PDF, .PNG or .JPG 5. Minimum file size: 200px by 200px, but larger is preferred - must be large enough to show up as high quality on a t-shirt 6. Maximum of 8 colors, but keep in mind that more colors increase the cost 7. Make sure to consider the ideal background color for your design, and incorporate the background into the design if possible *Designs will be accepted until September 20, 2024, after which voting will begin. * The creator of the winning design will receive a free t-shirt! |
