Why become a member of Audubon?
Lahontan Audubon Society is a chapter of the National Audubon Society.  Lahontan Audubon Society membership is separate from National Audubon Society membership.  As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our chapter depends on your membership enrollment and donations to carry out our mission

To preserve and improve the remaining habitat of birds and other wildlife, restore historical habitat, and educate the public, with emphasis on children, providing vision to all about our unique Nevada environments.

All membership dues or donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Member benefits include:

  • Priority notification and registration for field trips and events
  • Subscription to The Pelican e-newsletter
  • Being part of a dedicated community that is passionate about birds and bird conservation

  • Birding field trips
  • Bird education in our local schools
