Vice President:
Tom Stille Tom grew up in a small farming community near Clear Lake, Iowa. Purple Martins and House Wrens nested in the backyard. He has degrees in Horticulture and Parks & Recreation and taught Landscape Design and Park Management at Massey University in New Zealand. He came to Reno in 1967 as Superintendent of Parks for Washoe County. After a 3 year trip around the world Tom started a Landscape Architecture and Contracting business in the Truckee Meadows and has been self employed for more than 50 years. One of his passions is bringing more wildness to our area. |
Secretary:
Brendan Bucy Brendan grew up in Oregon and began birding at a young age with his folks, visiting Malheur National Wildlife Refuge and the rugged Oregon coast regularly to see what avian wonders they could find. After spending six years on the east coast for graduate school (and to add the birds of the eastern US to his life list), Brendan moved to Nevada in 2016 to raise his kids near the mountains and deserts of the west that have always felt like home. Brendan holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Boston College and a B.A. from St. John’s College, Santa Fe. He currently works for the Nevada State Senate and lives in Reno with his wife and two young boys. |
