URBAN WATER BIRDS

Our urban waterways host a wide variety of resident and migrating water birds. In fact, over 100 species of water birds have been documented in Washoe County alone. These water features serve as critical stopping points for migrants and important habitat for residents. Check out the photo gallery to help you identify and learn about our urban water birds.
