Lahontan Audubon Society is excited to announce another monthly membership meeting in a digital format! Sign up below, and you will receive an email confirmation containing the Zoom link. We will also include instructions on how to use Zoom if you are unfamiliar. Date: Tuesday, February 23, 2021 Time: 7:00 PM Featuring: Kirby Flanagan Topic: Bird Photography, Beyond the Basics This talk is about improving your bird photography and graduating from snapshots to much better shots. The advent of digital photography has made this much easier. But to do this requires some knowledge of camera operations like settings for shutter speed, f/stop and ISO which most cameras and smartphones can do these days. Beyond that it helps to understand light, composition and gesture. By the end of this talk, you’ll have a better understanding of why some photographs catch your eye and others don’t and a better understanding of how to get there. About Kirby: Kirby is a wildlife and nature photographer from Carson City. He has been involved in photography for 50+ years and has been shooting professionally since he retired in 2013. His photographic subjects are primarily birds and megafauna. He’s traveled extensively throughout western North America including Alaska and British Columbia in search of interesting subjects. He has a website, a blog, a newsletter, and a podcast as part of his photography business. Check out his website at www.flanaganfotos.com. Unfamiliar with Zoom?
