Birding By Bus in full swing

We are pleased to continue running our Birding By Bus interactive program. Birding By Bus is a collaborative project between our chapter and the Regional Transportation Comission of Washoe County (RTC). It is an interactive online map of a dozen birding hotspots within the Reno/Sparks metropolitan area. All of these parks are accessible by an RTC public transit service, including RTC Ride and Flexride. The map features additional information about each park, such as what birds species  can be found there and what amenities each park offers. The map is available in both English and Spanish.

To help promote Birding By Bus as a free community resource, our Community Engagement Coordinator, Parker Flickinger, reached out to the local press. He was featured in both the local ABC News channel KOLO 8 and the newspaper Reno News & Review. We have included links to both media below for you to enjoy.
