The LAS Board of Trustees is a dedicated group of volunteers who help guide the programs and projects that our chapter offers. The board consists of nine members and we have three seats expiring at the end of June. We are looking for nominees who are interested in helping to shape the future of LAS. Each trustee is elected to a three-year term.
As a trustee, you will participate in a monthly Board meeting (currently 5:30 – 7:00 PM on the first Tuesday of the month) and add your voice and ideas to helping develop new programs and projects designed to further our mission: To preserve and improve the remaining habitat of birds and other wildlife, restore historical habitat, and educate the public, with emphasis on children, providing vision to all about our unique Nevada environments. Serving on the Board of Trustees is rewarding and a great opportunity to learn more about Audubon, birds, and local conservation and education. We are a relaxed group looking for new members to share their interest and enthusiasm. You do not need to be an expert birder to participate, just someone who is excited about birds and wants to help support our programs. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more! |
